The moments of “ahhhh…”
You know when you are cooped up in an air conditioned, stuffy office building all day and you finally have a minute to get outside for some fresh air? And this day happens to be a perfect day – not a cloud in the sky, the sun shining bright, mid-70s, no humidity. Then you lift your face towards the sun and you feel its warmth radiate throughout your body…and you just stand there for a few minutes, relishing the moment . . . “ahhhh”.
You know when you’ve had a tough day, you’re uptight and just not yourself and that special someone wraps his or her arms around you? . . . “ahhhh”, everything’s going to be okay.
You know when you’ve been in business attire all day or dressed up for a special evening – not the most comfy outfits to say the least? You make it home and not a second too soon, you peel off your clothes and put on your most favorite jammies and cozy socks. . . “ahhhh”.
You know when you climb into a fresh-made bed after a long day – with its taut sheets, snuggly comforter and you wrap up yourself and take a deep relaxing breath letting out the day’s events. . . “ahhhh”.
What can you recall as your moments of ‘ahhhh’?
Activity: For the next 24-48 hours, try focusing on recognizing, noticing, languishing in moments that are ‘ahhhh’ to you. Increasing your ‘’ahhhh’ moments, can increase the delight in your day, the moments in time when you feel light, joyful, at ease. Who knows, maybe there are many ‘ahhhh moments’ just waiting to meet your acquaintance.
Please write back and tell me your experience. I’d love to know and have you share it with others!
In closing, I can now say I have completed my first blog post. . . “ahhhh”.
